  nice video for bigenners! good idea to use a carving glove i know im new at this, when i started i cut my hand real bad didnt take me long to get a carving glove!

  yeah, the other thing about the glove is that it protects your project from the nasty stuff that comes out of and off of your hands. this can cause your item to anywhere from get dirty to completely change the color of it. then it may not stain or paint properly. an easy beginning project is to carve a ball out of a square block. this will teach an important lesson about learning about the round of everything!!!
